What We Collect
- Contact data you intentionally share with us (name, email, GitHub handle).
- Optional profile info when you apply to join the project.
- Basic operational metadata from our website (device + browser) used solely to prevent abuse.
- We do not collect message content or mesh traffic; everything stays end-to-end encrypted.
How We Use Information
- Responding to support requests or contributor applications.
- Sending project updates only if you explicitly opt in.
- Analyzing anonymous website traffic to improve onboarding.
Security & Storage
All sensitive data is stored with zero-knowledge encryption. Access is restricted to a minimal operations crew bound by confidentiality. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Your Rights
- Request a copy of the data you shared with us.
- Ask us to delete your contact information.
- Opt out of project communications at any time.
To exercise these rights, email dev@fidonext.org.
Third Parties & Infrastructure
We rely on standard hosting and CDN providers. They do not have access to encrypted mesh content. Open-source licenses governing our codebase are published on GitHub.
